September is just around the corner, can you believe how quickly this year has flown by. The month of August has been fun as much as it has been quick. its been a little over a month since we have moved into our new apartment and we have spent all of August cozying up the place. I’ve been focused on trying to create something at least once a week and found it quite rewarding, even when I don’t feel like creating anything. What have you been up to? What do you hold dear in this month of August?
Cactus Flowers – I’ve been feeling so inspired by the flowers that grow on cacti in the Arizona desert. I love drawing these intricate, hardy, and resilient flowers. Take a look at some of the beautiful flowers here: https://www.thespruce.com/cactus-plants-and-flowers-4051688
Bitter Honey – While browsing a bookstore, I came across the beautiful cookbook by Leticia Clark, titled Bitter Honey, Recipes and Stories from Sardinia. I’ve waited to get this for a couple of months now, and today I pulled the trigger and purchased her recipe book. Read more about her recipe book here: letitiaclark.co.uk/book
Podcast – I’ve always enjoyed history podcasts and I have been an avid listener of the podcast, Stuff you missed in history class. If you’re interested in history, especially history that is not necessarily taught in school, give the podcast a listen. The best part is, there are loads of episodes to binge on. Take a listen here: https://open.spotify.com/show/4Zkj8TTa7XAZYI6aFetlec
Wishbone dining chairs – Finally we have enough space in our new apartment for a dining table. Granted the space is still small, but it allows us a small area where we can put a small dining table and chairs. I love the look of the danish design, white table, wishbone chair with a beautiful weave. We can’t wait for it to arrive!
